The President said, "Saddam Hussein must not be allowed to threaten his neighbors or the world with nuclear arms, poison gas or biological weapons.
If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear.  We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program." Were we misled?  Did our President "lie" to us?

Fun
Picking on Howard Dean is almost too easy.  I guess because it is so fun, he'll be a regular at Southern Opine.  After declaring and complaining that Bush is taking away our civil liberties (by spying on terrorists), complaining the US approach to fighting terrorism is too strong, he now declares Bush is "weak" on national defense.  With dozens of terrorists plots thwarted that were planned on US soil and abroad, he continues his message of division..  Not surprising, he's against what Bush is doing without offering a plan of his own.  The most specificity he offers on a Democratic plan is "we can do better".  Same ole, same ole.. Its easy to be a problem spotter, but a successful leader is a problem solver.
